By now you have received the MEC Newsletter highlighting an MOA for proposed temporary and permanent changes to our Collective Agreement.
We are analyzing this deal and will communicate much more in the next few days. At first glance, we must stress to not be distracted by shiny objects. The state of our pilot profession depends on this. Even though there may be some gains in this agreement, make no mistake, there are also concessions. Leverage was used to make this deal and one must ask if we capitalized on all of the leverage available? Furthermore, we find it highly unusual that management has already spoken to this deal before the vote has even opened. Right now this decision is before you, the line pilots. Period.
